Where Milk Comes From

On the way to take the boys to the Y this morning, I was listening mostly to the music, while the boys chattered away as they always do. I somewhat caught on that Coby was talking about the milk he drinks with his lunch, and here's the conversation that took place next:

COBY: "Mama, chocolate milk comes from brown cows!"

ME: "Oh yeah. Where does white milk comes from?"

COBY: "White cows."

ME: "Ok, well where does Strawberry milk come from?"

COBY: "uuhhh"

CALEB: "Pink cows."

ME: "There aren't any pink cows!"

We all burst out into laughter. And then....

COBY: "We give the cows milk?"

ME: "No, we get our milk from cows."

CALEB: "How does the milk come out of the cows."

oh boy

ME: "You know how when Max (their Mimi's dog) had her puppies and they would go under her belly to eat, they were drinking milk from her."

CALEB: "Oh. And when you get the milk from cows you go ... and he made the motions of milking a cow...

ME: "Yes baby, that's how you get milk out of a cow."
